Ministry of Social Welfare is a Ministry of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. [2] One of the leading organizations in Bangladesh is working for the development and implementation of social development, social services and rules related to the country. Social services department is one of the other national organizations of the government. Social work was started in the country in 1955 but in 1961 social services department was created. The creation of the Department of the Seventies of the sixties has now been upgraded to the Department of Social Services. The Department's activities were initially based on city-based and services. At present, this department has expanded at grassroots level throughout the country. The Department of Social Welfare, Social Welfare Ministry is working relentlessly to strengthen the social safety net with extensive and multidimensional programs for the welfare and development of the poor, the orphans, autistic and disabled and the disadvantaged sections of the country. In 1947, after the partition of the country, the then provincial capital Dhaka Various social problems arise with slum problemsUnder the Urban Community Development Board, Dhaka, in consultation with the experts of the UN, these social problems were taken in 1955 by the City Social Welfare Office and social welfare council. In 1961, the responsibility for the management of the state orphanage (government children's family) under the Orphanic and Widow Sadan Act of 1944 was carried out under the provisions of the Bengal Vagghore Act, 1944, and the social welfare department was formed in 1961. Later, due to the widespread expansion and widespread social service activities, the government was promoted as a permanent national organization in 1978 and it was recognized as the Department of Social Services in 1984.
